This is the official blog of Jackie the Lioness. Join me as I share my Carnivore journey. I am no expert on anything except for my own self. I know that prior to the carnivore lifestyle change, I was really sick and just constantly deteriorating to the point that my quality of life was becoming dire. I was at a loss of what to do. With many tests, and no real significant answers from my doctors, I was feeling really hopeless.
For about 3 years I was hearing people talk about the carnivore diet, and telling me that it has helped many people calm their autoimmune issues and chronic diseases. I had multiple people tell me it worked for them personally, and many others tell me it worked for their loved ones. I had started researching it, and watching a lot of podcasts and videos for people talking about it. But after 36 years of hearing people tell me about “miracle cures” and trying them only to be disappointed, I had kind of looped this “FAD” diet, or so I thought, with the rest.
Then, finally when all hope seemed to be lost, and on waiting lists to see more specialists, I decided to give it a try. My thought was, what can it hurt. I am already so sick, that I don’t think it could get worse. Although I know that is not true, anything can always be worse, but when you are going through something horrible, you feel like nothing could get worse.
On January 6, 2025, I started this meat/fat/eggs only diet. I waited till that date to I wanted to use up all my carbs in my fridge and cupboards first. It was not a “New Year’s resolution” as I know those are usually failed by February. Read more in my blog to hear more about my journey.
